How should you behave at job interviews?
While what you say is critical at job interviews, how you behave -- your
mannerisms, body language, etc -- are every bit as important. Interviewers want
a person who can do the job well; but they also want someone who can get along
well with co-workers and superiors.
Avoid obvious no-nos like chewing mint or gum during interviews. Using slang is
a huge mistake too. Your single biggest asset in an employment interview is your
confidence. The way you answer a question can send strong positive or negative
signals. You don't want to be very placid, nor do you want to be cocky and
aggressive.
Always maintain a positive outlook before and during an interview. Don't let a
frown or unhappy look cross your face at the meeting, even if the interviewer
says something that's negative or troublesome. Keep a slight smile and listen
fully before speaking.
A good posture is important. Sit straight and keep your head at an even level.
You must point out your accomplishments while maintaining a certain humility.
Talk about your strong points in a matter of fact way, without necessarily going
into all details.
You want your interviewer to know that you're someone who's qualified and
competent, plus you'll get along well with people.

Are you someone who cherishes his or her independence? And if so, do you find jobs restrictive, stifling -- personally and work-wise?
Maybe you ought to consider non-conventional options like freelancing. Today, there are millions of people who have made freelancing their career, part-time or full-time. Many found that they can do work they love, have more flexibility and often make more money than at a day job.
The biggest challenge with freelancing is finding work on an ongoing basis. This used to be a real issue earlier. Today, thanks to the Internet, this problem has been largely solved. There are several websites that connect companies having work to offer with freelancers looking for work.
One of the best around is Freelanceworkexchange. We've found them to be reliable and a great source of work-at-home jobs.
They offer a trial membership for as little as $2.95, and you get access to their database containing hundreds of jobs. Check them out right away; you may turn up something surprisingly good.
